Fahrtag Richtung Paris. (english below)

Waren also doch nicht "ausverkauft".

Riding day towards Paris.
When I checked this morning to see how far I would want to ride towards Paris, an already marked overnight stop came into my field of vision - the Venhof, the horse farm in Belgium where I had stayed and ridden last Christmas. So that was my destination for today, I liked the idea of coming to a place that I knew and that was filled with fond memories. I knew there was always someone at the farm and I would be sure to find somewhere to sleep.

The ride was quite relaxed and surprisingly I didn't have to complain about the German drivers this time, but only in the Netherlands two extra cars squeezed in front of me at the zipper and shortly afterwards I was overtaken on the right. Yes, yes, the Germans (me) always with their rules and their order and control. According to the World Happiness Report, that's what keeps us from being happier. Rules, laws and following them are important to us. Changes and deviations from the plan are rather undesirable. Nevertheless, overtaking on the right and tailgating are simply crap. The biggest upset of the day, however, was the Spotify app, which simply starts playing whenever it connects to the radio or you switch it on. AND THEN THE FUCKING SETTINGS BUTTON IS GONE! It just annoys me when things do things on their own.

At some point I was able to accept the imperfection in the programming and listened to the last 1.5 hours of the podcast. I spent the time before that in silence. The first hour was weird, my head was of course still in high activity mode, yesterday was still school and a thousand things to do. So I heard a lot of bad thought radio, as if you can't find the right station and (unwanted) thoughts pop into your head here and there. But the good thing was that the negative thoughts were replaced by new thoughts just as quickly as everything else. I didn't get into the bad thought podcasts. My heart rate was a crazy 46 during this time, which gave me additional unpleasant thoughts, but I felt completely normal. Only the green tea made it rise again. The joys and sorrows of smartwatches. At some point, my head became quieter and the flow of thoughts only babbled along gently, which was very pleasant.

Lunch break at Mäcces and it became clear again today that it pays to have a set of reusable cups with you. They were "sold out" in the sales selection, but when I arrived with my cup, I could simply exchange it for a new one that was in the McCafé. So they weren't "sold out" after all. Malte and I had a similar experience at BurgerKing recently: they filled the cups we had brought with us, but it wasn't our fault what else went wrong.

In contrast to Christmas Day, I arrived today in the light of day. The boss recognized me immediately, what a pleasure and in early spring it is even nicer here than in winter. Mow you sheep and goats and horses, mow.

And then I also found a wonderful geocache. I know you don't spoil things like that, but I'd bet a kite that none of you ever come here. So look and marvel at how great and lovingly designed this cache is.
