Osterferien 24 Tag 2
Ostersamstag, englisch below
Plan C
The fact that you can just drive to other countries is insane to me." Europa bockt! Glück gehabt, muss man einfach so sagen.

Easter Saturday, English below
Plan C
Plan A was to sit on the campsite in Paris and put together my cycling route for tomorrow. I would have arrived around 2pm, cooked pasta, got on my bike with Piccio and cycled around the Bois de Bologne to get used to the metropolitan air. But the city campsite was fully booked. That's when it dawned on me... Yes, Easter... It's also a kind of free time when people go on (short) vacations. Surprise, surprise egg.
Ok, plan B then: down to Versailles and either go on a sightseeing bike tour there tomorrow or drive into Paris from there and then do the bike tour there. I even made a clever phone call beforehand, but no one answered. So I took a chance and the only luck there was a woman at reception who recommended another website á la Park4Night and assured me that there was still something available in Rambouillet.
Plan C: With the help of the Park4Night app, I headed for Rambouillet and a nearby farm. While driving through the Parc naturel régional de la Haute Vallée de Chevreuse, I had the idea of simply going hiking tomorrow and postponing Paris to the end of the trip, perhaps. Who knows what that's good for, blah blah, I can't really get into it right now, I'm just too flat - flat? - What was that about breaks? Maybe it's even BETTER NOT to ride my bike in Paris tomorrow, but to wake up, lie in bed, have breakfast and then go for a 2-hour hike so that I can be back at the bus in peace. I think it's a good idea and, as I said yesterday, it's also necessary after these weeks to get away from these thoughts of efficiency. Practicing wasting time.
What else happened today?
It started with a little eye-opener: a friend from Tel Aviv wrote back to me in relation to the travel blog that "The fact that you can just drive to other countries is insane to me." You have to let that melt in your mouth, what is possible here in Europe. How cool it is to be able to just drive through Europe and usually not even have border controls. Europe rocks! Lucky, you have to say.
I was also overcome with enthusiasm about doubling the solar power on my roof. When the sun is shining, it really shoots now and with the two new batteries it's pure self-sufficiency. Camping electricity is no longer necessary... but I've now accepted it anyway, it was already standing next to my car as a cable drum and the weather is... is like this...
Oh yes, so goes the weather - it must have poured here in the morning, everything full of huge puddles and mud and... Horse manure. Piccio's great deed today was to lie down in a pile of poo. I felt like an animal abuser when I forced her to rinse off the biggest poo in a puddle. Then she had to go under the farm hose too and now she just stinks a bit. I think she has forgiven me, at least I hope so.
All around Paris, there's traffic everywhere and all the two-wheelers are riding madly between the cars and it's even allowed. And on normal roads, motorbikes/scooters/cyclists overtake on the left, on the right, wherever. Whaa - I was really scared of knocking someone off their bike. Pretty fucked up and interesting to observe what is normal for others where.
By the way, my plan was to only cycle through Paris on cycle paths. Then another time.
