Winterferien 23 - Abschluss

(english below)

The vacation away from it all did me good. I can tell by my enthusiasm and energy for new things. On the way home, I borrowed a 3D resin printer from a friend. You can use it to print very detailed and very small figures for playing Dungeons and Dragons, for example. I've just finished a six-hour print and I'm excited to see how the figures turned out.
Playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends is a great ray of hope in our everyday lives and we are all very excited about the new campaign and are already more or less tinkering with our new characters. I'm worrying about how best to play my Aasimar Cleric of the Domain of Twilight. And we're also all working on the look of the character. I've borrowed the 3d printer so that we can print them ourselves. The advantages are considerable: it's much cheaper - three figures for around €1 instead of €20 each and it's absolutely clear to me that I'm clearly not going to paint beautifully on my first attempt. An ugly figure for €20 that I'll be playing with for the next year? Not with me! I'd rather print it out five times and then use the one that turns out the best.

All the travel items are unpacked and put away and the bus is already stocked with washed bedding and towels. Preparations for school are also underway.

There was one thing I couldn't do on my vacation: Cross-country skiing and guess what the plan was today: cross-country skiing
It snowed here in the north yesterday. Today, Sunday, I wanted to go cross-country skiing in Höltigbaum. First I set off with Piccio to check out the conditions and realized that they weren't really good. A lot of icy tracks, not much loose snow. Let's put it this way: it would have been possible, but I realized that I would have a lot more fun if I did a big lap on foot with Piccio than stumbling around on cross-country skis. And so we hiked on. A good five kilometers in the most wonderful winter weather. Snow, sunshine, blue skies and sub-zero temperatures. It really was a winter wonderland. Piccio had her fun, I had my fun, what more could you want.

Conclusion: It was just right that I went on tour during the vacations, for my salvation and for my relaxation. It simply does me good to leave everything behind for a while and see something different. You can only return home when you've been away. And it's best at home when you've had a break from it. For me at least.

Hmm... I wonder what I'm going to do during the Easter break? Something to do with Italy is on my mind. We'll see.

For now: all's well that ends well.
