Herbstferien 23 - IV
english below
Look Ma, no hands!!!
Who cares.
-------------------
The laptop is humming like it's the height of summer. No idea what's wrong with it. It's already quite old, the little one. But even with touchscreen, SSD hard drive and i5 processor. I just had to turn it over and check: 2012 - it's from 2012 and still works extraordinarily well. 100GB hard drive... but for writing, office and surfing it's top notch. At that time I even played "The Lord of the Rings Online" on it. Maybe I'll give it a once-over and dust it off.
If we now go backwards in time, before writing the blog entry came my evening cereal and before that a reading time. From there, I wanted to show you all another life hack. The ebookreader has revolutionized my reading world and that combined with the following technique.... Look Ma, no hands!!!
This technique is also suitable for a cell phone. What just annoyed me insanely with books is this opening and turning pages and holding the book open. You need one hand that is always tied to the book and a second hand to turn the pages. And at some point something hurt when the pages should be well opened and perfectly readable, usually the muscles in the ball of the thumb. In my world, that was too many things that took the fun out of reading, so the ebookreader is THE gamechanger for me. Plus, you can illuminate the display and read in any environment. And the light can be yellow, too. Except for the space of a small library and endless supply if you have internet. Boah, I'm glad to have it. By the way, this is an excerpt from "The Wheel of Time" Volume 1. Quite different from the series, but still good. The series is quite a bit more interesting, because it's different. But here I have the details that I missed.
The reading was preceded by a "nap", which ended by the late lunch only 17Uhr and lasted twenty minutes.
However, it was worth it to make myself wait for my lunch while I prepared it. There was namely once again the lentil casserole with pak choi, comfort food. And wonderfully warm for this dreary weather.
In this dreary weather I moved the morning partly outside, partly in the car, but extraordinarily well equipped with rubber boots, my angel work pants and rain jacket. The actions lasted altogether quite long, but they were all successful. It started with a visit to the vet, I wanted to have such a strange lump under the skin on Piccio's neck checked - completely harmless, complete purchase for the lentil casserole and that from the head plus a spontaneous purchase of a new electric toothbrush. My last one, the VW from OralB had cost about 30€, still does something, but I can now count the tapping movements, so slow it has become. My heart aches, however, at the electric waste. 30€ I was ready to spend again and even at Famila I got for it already the Pro model of OralB. The VW is now available for 10 €. Since I thought, I treat my teeth times what good. Before you could test them. Once press - hm... even now not much faster than my current... press again - oh! hossa... press again - OLD SWEDISH, yes, it's time for a change. Then there is also finally a new brush head. :D no, fun, they are always valid for one year, aren't they?
Then bought dog food, from Josera Piccio does not start to smell and she likes it very much. At the fish food I almost fell for the seller and almost bought the expensive color food (successful advertising), until I then fell for the other advertising and found the HUGE can plus mini color food can for about the same price. But only lasts loosely eight times longer or even more. However, the guy seemed so domineering that I worried he would throw a goofy comment after me, at least a disparaging look, but I decided to ignore him and do what I wanted. Who cares.
After that, I finally reached the hardware store. That was actually with main purpose for my shopping trip: to buy concrete slabs and rubber mats, then in better weather, to put the solar panels on the garage.
At home unloaded and everything else you already know.
Blogging is followed by either reading or watching episode 2. Rosamund Pike can be seen twice ;-)
